[a buzz word? or relationships that work?]


From the very beginning of your Internet venture, a vision is the first and primary focus. Once the vision is established your foundation to build is setup. The second course of action is to develop a network.

Networking: (net wur'king) Establishment and use of a system of professional contacts in business and a particular industry.

Networking will guarantee you proven results with a little hard work and time well spent. Relationships develop over time not instantly. You will discover a secret of increase in applying these principles to your relationships listed below.

Thirdly, being informative and resourceful is key to bringing repeat visitors to your site. A few questions to ask yourself are:

  • How can I expand my market?
  • Who are my target clients?
  • What new information or products do I have to offer?
  • Why do people want to return to my website?

Let's take a look at the how: There are several ways to market your site.
  • join newsgroups or bulletin discussion boards- these offer a forum for you to ask questions and get answers
  • webrings: groups of people with similar interests- sharing ideas, linking to one another's website [google groups]
  • chatrooms: online discussions [use your discretion on these]
  • ICQ-AOL Instant Messages: continuous contact with one other while on the Internet
Lastly, the best way to bring people to your website is to get others interested in it.

Which are some of the ways we have discussed in this article. Your logo and domain name should be on everything including a signature file in all your emails. Get others used to the idea of you being available on the web 24 hours a day. The Internet never sleeps. Offer your clients something they feel they just have to have. Also get them involved in online polls or contests that you offer, maybe give something away to clients completing a survey. Ideas are endless with possibilities, goals and dreams attainable.
